Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the role of Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring a clear systems specification is in place for every project for every customer. Working closely throughout the business you will provide effective challenge and influence from concept to finished product. With a strong focus on market and customer needs you will have an overall technical responsibility with regards to all relevant systems and products within the product portfolio. You will act as the technical voice of the customer on the site to ensure specific requirements are effectively developed and documented to continue to improve effectiveness.
As a degree qualified systems engineer, you will have experience in the strategic and operational development and documentation of technical specifications to meet customer requirements. With well-developed communication skills you will demonstrate the ability to effectively challenge/influence other managers within Dräger and provide a high quality of service to customers. Previous experience in the design/development of complex equipment with multi-disciplinary components (including mechanical, electrical, electronics, controls, software, firmware etc.) will enable you to add value to the complex product portfolio for this safety critical product.

As a Systems Engineer at HMGCC, you’ll be a key leader working closely with senior management, advising on technical direction and roadmaps. Working at the strategic level, in large projects and programmes, you’ll shape our product landscape for years to come and will often find yourself working at the heart of organisation design, business change and large IT projects.
You’ll create novel system concepts, capture requirements, lead on architectural design and establish a customer’s true needs by understanding their business model and ultimate end goal. You’ll design capability that’s compatible at a System of Systems level, integrating seamlessly into the customer’s operating environment. Your work will be utilised by development teams located internally, at customer sites, or commercially.
